Lake Oswego South Shore Bridge

The design criteria for the new bridge on South Shore Boulevard in Lake Oswego was developed by the surrounding neighbors who required an aesthetically-pleasing bridge that reflected the eclectic character of their neighborhood. The sidewalks on both sides of the bridge are flared for mid-span viewing of the lake and stream below. The custom lanterns, dry-laid stone abutments, decorative concrete and nature-inspired metal railings were designed to reflect the residential neighborhood.

The Lake Oswego Bridge received design awards from the American Institute of Architects – Salem Chapter, the American Council of Engineering Chapters of Oregon, and an Excellence in Concrete Award from the Oregon Chapter of the American Concrete Institute.
